Ms. Allgaier founded PRG in January 1995. Prior to founding PRG, Ms. Allgaier was Director of Market Strategy and Analysis for Syncordia, then a BT-owned global network-outsourcing venture. There, she focused
on establishing and leveraging competitive awareness and using market knowledge and insight to identify opportunities, determine strategic direction, increase sales' win rate and improve competitive performance.Prior to joining Syncordia, she was responsible for creating a competitive awareness capability that helped to determine competitive
positioning and identify emerging domestic and international opportunities for MCI. Preceding her role at MCI, Cyndi held senior positions with The New York Times,
Marriott Corporation and Bell Atlantic with responsibility for aspects of competitive intelligence and strategy, market research, marketing and business development.
Ms. Allgaier is a published author and a recognized expert in understanding global market dynamics and translating market knowledge and insight into innovative
strategies and marketing programs to improve corporate performance and help create competitive advantage. She has contributed to publications and articles
written or edited by Ben Gilad (Academy of Competitive Intelligence), Jan Herring (Herring & Assoc), Ruth Stanat (SIS International Research) and Tim Powell (TW Powell Company).
Ms. Allgaier has recently co-authored a workbook, with colleague Nathalie Ambrose, to accompany PRGs CI Process Framing workshop entitled Creating the Competitively Aware Company
. Currently in the process of selecting a publisher, the book is to serve as a guide for organizations desiring to enhance competitive results through more effective use of intelligence practices.
She has spoken at industry and professional conferences around the world and is a founding member, Fellow and past President of the Society of Competitive
Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), founding member of the Global Business Development Alliance (GBDA) and member of Women in Technology, the Strategic Leadership Forum, the Northern Virginia Technology Council and
Netpreneurs. She also is a business advisor within the George Mason University Entrepreneurship Center. Ms. Allgaier holds an MA and MS from Case Western Reserve University. |
